No one thing is going to be “THE” thing you’ve been looking for.  YOU are a process.  So what you are looking for, needing, resonating with and what is actually helpful to you in this moment will always be different.  You are changing, so what resonates will change too. 

No book, guru, podcast, way of eating, philosophy can ever encapsulate the whole “Truth.”  It can only be one LENSE on the infinite, unknowable Truth. 

BUT we can feel the Truth.  Our beautiful, reverberating bodies can tell us what direction feels open, non-resistant and in general seems to move with a naturalness.  And our bodies can tell us what makes us feel like we want to contract, draw back or what feels forced and just not like something that fits or feels right. 

We are equipped with this amazing resonance system.  It tells us when we are moving with the way things naturally move, and when we aren’t.

If you are looking for the one thing that will finally give you the answer so you can relax and live your life, you’re it.  YOU’RE the “it.” Inside you, that inner navigation system will answer every moment with an accurate resonance. Your mind is busy assessing and gets confused. But your body tells you what is right for you in that moment. 

As I heard a dear person say recently, “It’s not about what’s right. It’s about what’s right for me right now.”

Let all the options be available to nourish the process of you in this moment, rather than trying to make the ever-evolving YOU fit into one tiny perspective of The Infinite Creative Flow of Everything.

Which also shows you that YOU are energy that is MUCH bigger than any thought.  When you become aware of that, the feeling takes care of all the doing.  It softens any need for “rules” about how to be in the world.  The massive pressure you were applying to enforce those false rules is released.  Relief. Freedom. Choices. Peace. All those come into focus and you realize they were here all along.

Please know that you will always be too big to fit into any story.

What stories has your mind made up to try to understand part of the Whole Hugeness?  Be suspicious.  Better yet, put the stories aside for a moment and sense into the unknowable magic. The stories will dissolve, even if only their edges.

And there it is playing peekaboo … the True, Infinity of Being You.

The scope is infinite, and yet it’s here even in your own lifetime,

Your brain loves you so much that it literally acts as a bodyguard for you!  It’s whole job is to keep your body ALIVE! (So you can do stuff like watch movies, hang out with friends, dance, eat…. You gotta have a body for that stuff!)

The trouble is that your bodyguard brain takes itself a liiiiiiitle too seriously in this day and age when we aren’t actually foraging for food and running from tigers anymore.

Your brain wants to do a good job for you, but times have changed and your brain has nothing to do but run POTENTIAL scenarios. Then it wants to sit you down on the couch and tell you all about what could happen, theoretically, according to imaginary future situations it’s making up.  

You can understand that it would helps your brain keep you alive if you BELIEVE all those projected, dangerous “what ifs.”  It helps your brain if it can scare you into being super cautious.  So your bodyguard brain paints a vivid, totally believable picture.  There you are, quaking on the couch because OMG, someone COULD jump out of a bush with a purple balloon that pops and then somehow you could choke on, so you really SHOULD be afraid of bushes!  And balloons! And, well, PEOPLE!  Right?!  Nah. It’s just your way overprotective bodyguard taking itself way to seriously and trying to do a good job for you. 

Theoretically, bodyguards are hired to worry about us so that WE don’t have to worry about stuff.  Bodyguards have it covered.  So does yours.  Don’t worry – those scenarios aren’t real. But if you ever step out in front of a car you didn’t see coming at first, your bodyguard will reflexively get you out of the way – FAST – even if that wasn’t one of the dangerous scenarios it imagined. 

Your brain knows what to do and it will do it. You can count on those reflexes when they are actually needed in each, unplanned moment.

Whew!  Now you can say to your brain, “Thank you, my marvelous, annoyingly overprotective bodyguard!  You can go back to making up possible situations so that you are “prepared.” You go ahead and worry and do your job (and I’ll just kinda not listen next time you are running all those “what if” scenarios by me!)  Thanks! Good job!  I’m gonna go dance with my friends now!”

Nothing comes through a closed door

Into that room where you lock yourself away and buckle down to “figure it out.”

Kindly take yourself by the hand out into that fresh air of enjoyment!

Where the universe can whisper sweet everythings of possibility

Into your open arms, heart, eyes…..
Into your wide open life!
